Mexico Christmas Boxes 2010 . . . Coming Fast!
This year is more than half gone, and Christmas is drawing near! On SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th, you will once again have the opportunity to help provide a happy Christmas for the needy children across the border. These families are lovingly served by their pastors because of the support of Elfi Register and Joan Wilson of Crossing Borders Ministries (CBM).

Christmas box “kits” will be available to take home and finish filling with goodies and prayers. The kit will include an already Christmas gift-wrapped box, a list of giving suggestions, a hand knitted cap, candy, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. You and your family can provide additional age-appropriate toys and gifts.

Our annual goal for Mexico Christmas box donations is 100 boxes. Last year we fell short — we sent about 80 boxes — so I will be setting out 40 pre-wrapped, empty boxes to be filled. I also want to express my deep gratitude to Judy Shinabery for wrapping ALL the boxes that have been donated this past year! She is ready to do more, so bring them on!

If you are unable to help prepare a Christmas box, there is another way that you can help with this WORTHY and FUN project. Below is a list of items that you can bring to the church office between now and the end of November. Hopefully, many of you will participate in the joy of providing happiness for someone else who is less fortunate. We’ll deliver the packages to CBM (in Fabens) early in December. This is a great time of fellowship with some additional work packing other gift boxes while we’re in Fabens. Please join us for the trip!

Items should fit into a shoe or boot box and must be “gift-ready” (brand new or like new).
