Whew! The first day of summer has arrived, and outdoor dealings are on the rise. The smell of Bar-B-Q is in the air, and “Honey-Do Lists” have shifted from interior to exterior.
A few weeks ago, 11 sturdy mountain men from the 6:00 a.m. Bible study headed west—out to the Gila Wilderness for three blessed days of fellowship, Bible study, adventure and a good steaming in the area’s natural hot springs. Our time in God’s Word centered around what’s important in our Christian growth, what hinders that growth and how to avoid the “hinders” and get on with the growin’. Now, like those “honey-do’s,” perhaps it’s time to move forward with what’s good for our interior and apply it toward things exterior. Let me explain.
Our salvation and developing relationship with God the Father is much too precious a gift to gain and then just hold. In doing so, we would miss the joy of seeing another realize its worth as well. (Of course, it goes without mentioning that being consistently available for God to reach through and touch another’s heart is a hoot all it’s own!) Let’s not miss out on the opportunities!!
And speaking of opportunities… Any Thursday at 6:00 a.m.—yep, I know that’s early—is a great opportunity to join in some good fellowship, food and feasting on God’s word. Join us over coffee and breakfast at the Western Cafe.

The Men’s Bible Study is conducted under the oversight of FBC-Cloudcroft and is a part of the Mountain Man of God Men’s Ministry.
